BIOGRAPHY
Matthew Rommeihs joins Brooks & Berne as a litigator, bringing courtroom experience and provides handling of civil trial practice in general liability matters.
Matthew earned his Juris Doctor from New York Law School in 2022. There he specialized in legal matters of public interest. While a student at New York Law School, he held positions with the State of New Jersey Office of the Public Defender and the State of New Jersey Office of the Attorney General: Division of Criminal Justice.
Matthew has a background in international law and policy. He was a student member of the Center for international Law at New York Law School, and he was a member of New York Law School’s Phillip C. Jessup International Moot Court team where he opened globally against over 500 schools from across the world. Additionally, he held a position in anti-corruption and legal reform at the United States Department of State’s Embassy in Bucharest, Romania as part of the Department of State’s VSFS program.
Matthew Graduated from Montclair State University with a degree in Justice Studies: International Justice and a minor in Russian Area Studies. He speaks some Spanish and Russian. In his spare time he is a musician, and plays classical guitar and enjoys writing his upcoming fiction novel.
