Thomas Dooley

Associate

Thomas J. Dooley earned his JD from Seton Hall University School of Law  and holds a bachelor’s degree in forensic science from John Jay College of Criminal Justice in New York City.

 

At Brooks and Berne, Thomas concentrates his practice on the defense of claims related to general liability, automobile liability, transportation matters, premises liability, and personal injury litigation.

 

Thomas started his career in law at a small firm focused on real estate transactions representing individuals and businesses in residential purchases, sales, and litigation matters. He also served as public defender for three New Jersey municipalities representing criminal defendants in a wide array of municipal court matters.

 

Before practicing law, Thomas worked as Forensic Scientist with the New Jersey State Police in the Controlled Substances and Toxicology Units analyzing evidence for the State and providing expert witness testimony in superior and municipal courts throughout New Jersey. He is an Honorably Discharged Marine Veteran, having served as a Corporal in the United States Marine Corps Infantry.
