Marie Michel earned her JD from the Rutgers School of Law in Camden, New Jersey and holds both a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies and a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from The College of New Jersey. Marie represents established businesses and individuals in all aspects of civil litigation. Her practice focuses on the defense of claims related to general liability, automobile liability, transportation matters, premises liability, and personal injury litigation. 

Prior to joining Brooks & Berne, she represented both insurance providers and employers in workers’ compensation matters from claim inception through trial and resolution. She has successfully litigated cases before the New Jersey Division of Workers’ Compensation and has secured favorable outcomes through settlements on complex claims. Marie’s practice also included extensive motion practice, expert coordination, and strategic case evaluation. Marie also served as a Law Clerk in Burlington County Superior Court, where she conducted legal research, drafted judicial opinions, and facilitated mediations.

Marie works with clients to discuss their goals and deliver tailored, results-driven representation. Her background in litigation, mediation, and legal analysis allows her to effectively support clients in navigating complex legal matters.
