Hamza Atif earned his Juris Doctor from the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University and holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Farmingdale State College, SUNY. Hamza’s practice will focus on the defense of claims related to general liability, automobile liability, premises liability, and personal injury litigation.

Prior to joining Brooks & Berne, Hamza gained experience assisting attorneys in civil litigation matters, including personal injury and insurance defense claims. His experience includes evaluating claims, reviewing medical records, conducting legal research, managing discovery, and assisting with motion practice and trial preparation.

Hamza also gained experience in transactional and regulatory matters through Hofstra Law School’s Community & Economic Development Clinic and as a Legal Extern with Northwell Health’s Office of Legal Affairs. Earlier in his career, Hamza interned with the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office where he assisted with case review, discovery, and legal research.

Hamza is also a licensed New York Real Estate Salesperson and brings additional knowledge of residential and commercial real estate matters to his practice. In recognition of his commitment to public service, Hamza received Hofstra University’s Gold Level Pro Bono Service Award. He is fluent in English and Urdu.
