Takiyah Johnson

Associate

Takiyah Johnson earned her Juris Doctor from Fordham University School of Law where she participated in the Federal Litigation Clinic, the Black Law Student Association, and the legal writing teaching assistant program. Prior to law school, she obtained her degree in public policy from Duke University. Takiyah represents established businesses and individuals in all aspects of civil litigation. Her practice focuses on the defense of claims related to general liability, automobile liability, and insurance defense.

Prior to joining Brooks & Berne, Takiyah served as a legal intern at an employment law firm, where she conducted legal research, drafted motions, and facilitated mediations. She also has experience in policy and cost-benefit-analysis through her previous work as a legal policy intern for NYCLU. She brings her dedication to the law, compassion, and strong attention to detail to her work.

 

Takiyah works on the Insurance Defense team in the New Jersey office and is currently seeking admissions to the New York and New Jersey Bar.
