Kelly A. Sherwood is a Partner in the New Jersey offices of Brooks & Berne, PLLC. Kelly has extensive experience managing cases through all phases of litigation from initial claims evaluation and strategy development through trial preparation. Her practice includes drafting pleadings and dispositive motions, handling written discovery, conducting and defending depositions, preparing motions in limine, and appearing regularly in court for motions, settlement conferences, and pre-trial proceedings.

Prior to joining Brooks & Berne, she focused her practice on complex civil litigation and insurance defense matters throughout New Jersey. Kelly has represented corporate, nonprofit, and individual insureds in cases involving motor vehicle accidents, premises liability claims including slip and falls and trip and falls, Dram Shop liability, wrongful death, and matters arising from medical emergencies in commercial settings.

Kelly earned her Bachelor of Arts in Communication from University of Scranton and received her Juris Doctor from St. John's University School of Law
