Jillian Kerr earned her Juris Doctor from Penn State Law in State College, Pennsylvania, where she also earned concentrations in Corporate Law and Practice; Arbitration, Mediation, and Negotiation; and Intellectual Property. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from The Pennsylvania State University.

Before joining Brooks & Berne, Jillian was an accomplished member of Penn State Law’s Alternative Dispute Resolution program. She was top competitor in the American Bar Association MAC Cup II, a mergers and acquisition negotiation competition, where she drafted several high scoring asset purchase agreements that dealt with risk analysis and liability shifting. Jillian was also an Associate Editor and Editorial Board Member on Penn State’s Arbitration Law Review. Further, she worked in Penn State Law’s Entrepreneur Assistance Clinic where she assisted in the formation of new business entities, drafted contracts, and researched issues related to business insurance and liability management. 

 

She brings her dedication, compassion, and strong attention to detail to her work. Jillian works on the Insurance Defense team in the New York office and is currently seeking admission to the New York Bar.
